Soulja Boy 'buys $55 million jet'

Soulja Boy has splashed out $55 million on a private jet, it has been reported.

The American rapper and record producer has decided to treat himself to a new G5 to celebrate turning 21 yesterday. The jet cost $35 million and Soulja Boy has chosen to fork out a further $20 million on furnishing the aircraft.

'We're told the birthday boy is dropping an additional $20 million to pimp out his ride with all sorts of cool stuff... like 12 custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, 4 liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets,' reports TMZ.

The music star ' who is known for songs including Crank That (Soulja Boy) ' is also keen to refurbish the toilets and has ordered a lavish new bathroom to be installed.

To ensure the world knows who the jet belongs to, Soulja Boy has decided to have the aircraft re-painted to include his logo.

The rapper was also planning to celebrate his birthday in style by throwing a lavish party this week. He invited a host of friends and family to join him at a Miami nightclub for the bash. Famous faces including Sean Kingston, Bow Wow and Dwight Howard were all believed to be attending the $300,000 party.
