Soundgarden have been confirmed as the second headline act at this Summer's Hard Rock Calling festival in London, UK.
The iconic 90's grunge act, fronted by Chris Cornell, will headline their first UK show since reforming in 2011 on Friday July 13th. Support on the night will come from Iggy & The Stooges as well as Cold Chisel. More acts are expected to be announced shortly.
Meanwhile, Soundgarden have also revealed the first piece of new music since reforming in the shape of a 30 second clip of a song called 'Live To Rise'. Taken from the upcoming Avengers soundtrack, the clip of 'Live To Rise' does not feature Chris Cornell's famous vocals but does show that the band have not lost their ability to write a huge riff.
