The Spice Girls could be on the verge of reforming, according to reports in yesterday's (July 2) News Of The World.
The British tabloid scotched rumours that the girl band were considering reuniting for a performance on the BBC's "Children In Need", but claimed that meetings had been booked to discuss their comeback.
A source told the paper: "They'll have an informal dinner and then get down to business about the reunion."
The same source claimed that the girl band's former manager, Simon Fuller, would also be present at this meeting.
They added: "The girls can't do the reunion without Simon. He still has a deal over their touring and merchandising."
Rumours of a Spice Girls reunion have abounded since Live 8 last year.
However, as recently as last month, founder member Mel C was telling journalists that such rumours were unfounded.
Talking to the Sunday People in June, she said: "I haven't changed my mind. I was approached earlier in the year and took a long time thinking about it.
"My heart and head said no. It's not something I want to do. That has not changed.
"I'd rather be remembered for how we were than spoil it with a reunion."
This week marks exactly a decade since the Spice Girls released their debut single "Wannabe".document.write(unescape("
