The Spice Girls are reportedly "95% confirmed" to perform at the Olympic games this summer.
Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell reunited to promote the Viva Forever! musical, which is based on their hit singles, in London at the end of last month.
It is rumoured that the group will meet again on-stage and perform at the London Olympics closing ceremony.
"The girls were approached for the Games two years ago. [They are now] 95% [confirmed]. It's always been on the cards," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.
"But Victoria's hectic work schedule, and the fact she and Mel B live in the US have always been problematic until now."
Initially it was said that Victoria was hesitant to perform again with the pop group. Now the possibility of the show depends on whether Mel C, who is judge on TV talent show Superstar and is still reeling from her break-up with Thomas Starr, can make it.
"Victoria is in London until the end of the Games and David's exclusion from the football team means she has time to reunite with the Spice Girls," the insider continued.
"Talks are back in full swing and the balance of power rests with Mel C. Everyone is hopeful she will agree to perform."
