Lou Reed may have told Susan Boyle where she could stick his song 'Perfect Day' (and it was not on her album) but Neil Finn has consented to his classic Crowded House song 'Don't Dream It's Over' going on her next record.
Apparently, the song, recorded by Crowded House in 1986 for their debut album, is a personally favourite of Susan Boyle.
Over the years, the song has been covered by Paul Young (1991), Sixpence Non The Richer (2002), Howie Day (2005) and Sarah Blasko (2005).
Faith No More performed the song at Soundwave earlier this year. Tori Amos has also covered the song live.
The second Susan Boyle album will be called 'The Gift'. It is scheduled for a late November release.
