Susan Boyle insists she still intends to adopt Justin Bieber.
The Scottish singer has a soft spot for the teenage Canadian pop star. She recently told talk show host Piers Morgan that she would love to open her home to Justin and has now reiterated her plans.
"Well there is a wee guy going about called Justin Bieber, he is lovely. I want to adopt him," she said during an interview for UK TV show Lorraine. "I have said that before but I really want to adopt that lad. What a nice laddy."
Susan shot to fame after competing in television talent show Britain's Got Talent in 2009. Since then she has become a worldwide star, and sold millions of copies of her first two studio albums.
The 50-year-old is currently promoting her new record Someone to Watch Over Me.
Susan realises she has come a long way since she performed I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables in her audition for Britain's Got Talent.
One of the first songs Susan recorded was a reworking of the Rolling Stones' classic track Wild Horses, which shocked the music world.
"I tried to do my version of it, I mean at that time I was only known for singing I Dreamed a Dream, so it was a complete contrast," she explained. "I think everyone can see me as a real person, not someone who is manufactured. I haven't had Botox and my face isn't tied up at the back or anything, you know?
"Fans send me a lot of toys and letters. They tell me how much I have inspired their lives in some way. And being an ordinary person it can be quite hard to take in – what you see is what you get."
Despite her career success, Susan is still single.
She would like to find her perfect man and settle down but fears she is doomed when it comes to love.
"Knowing my luck he will probably have one eye and one foot in the grave and be as deaf as a post," she laughed.
