Be afraid, SuBo - Susan Boyle has admitted that she is expected criticism from fans of John Lennon and Pink Floyd after covering the monolithic legends on her upcoming album.
The former Britain's Got Talent winner turned 'people's champion' is gearing up to release her sixth album Hope - featuring her 'personal take' on Lennon's 'Imagine' and the Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'. It's a move she admits is 'a risk'.
"I hope I have done them justice in my own way," said Boyle, reports Scotland's The Herald. "John Lennon's 'Imagine' was one of the hardest to record, not because of the music or the vocals but because I wanted to do his song justice. Of course the die-hard Lennon fans will probably criticise but I hope that people like my personal take on the song.
She added: "I themed this album around inspiration and hope because those are two elements we all need in our life to drive us forward and inspire us to go out and capture our dreams - they worked for me."
Will there be a backlash? We'll just have to wait until the next #susanalbumparty to find out. Hope is released on 24 November.
