Susan Boyle ended up outselling even Susan Boyle this week when final figures came through for first week sales of 'I Dreamed A Dream'.
On one-day sales we were expecting Susan Boyle to do around 625,000 units in the USA.
On mid-week sales we thought it was going to do about 670,000 units.
By the end of the first week, Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed A Dream' album sold just over 700,000 units according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Susan Boyle's album is now officially the fastest selling album of 2009 beating Eminem 'The Relapse' that did 607,000 units in the first week.
With three weeks to go before the end of the year, Boyle may end up outselling Eminem and have the biggest selling album of the year in the USA.
Eminem 'The Relapse' has done around 1.6 million in total and he has a wild card. A redux of 'The Relapse' featuring bonus songs will be released in two weeks and should give the title some acceleration.
Boyle on the other hand has Christmas on her side. 'I Dreamed A Dream' will be a bona fide stocking stuffer.
Next weeks prediction for Boyle sales is 350,000 putting the album over the million sales benchmark.
It's official game-on in the battle for the biggest album of the year between Eminem and Susan Boyle.
