Susan Boyle is about to go to America for the first time in her life.
The Britain's Got Talent sensation will perform of the American show finale on September 16.
Boyle has been recording her debut album in England and despite not even being released for two more months was the biggest seller last week at amazon.com on preorders alone.
After appearing on the first episode of Britain's Got Talent, Susan Boyle became an instant overnight internet sensation. 2.5 million people viewed her on YouTube just 72 hours after the show aired. The clip was eventually viewed more than 66 million times.
She was then name-checked on The Simpsons and South Park, giving her true iconic status.
Susan's debut album will be called 'I Dreamed A Dream'. She has recorded a cover of Madonna's 'You'll See' for the album.
'I Dreamed A Dream' will be released on November 23, 2009.
