Pioneering American singer/songwriter returns with her gentle, yet powerfully political acoustic pop. With songs such as 'Marlene on the Wall', the Grammy nominated/MTV award winning 'Luka', and the hugely successful album 'Solitude Standing', she came to be regarded as the vanguard of a new generation of female singer/songwriters.
Her career received an extra boost in the early 90's when UK-based dance duo DNA released a remix of a cappella song 'Tom's Diner', which charted worldwide.
Her music has inspired a generation of female singer/songwriters such as KT Tunstell, Tracey Chapman, and Alanis Morrisette.
In 2010 and 2011, Suzanne released an exclusive collection, consisting of three 'best of' albums- 'Close-Up', with the most recent- Volume 3 'States of Being', released in the summer of 2011. The series of albums explores her whole catalogue of work- the basis for which is the main inspiration for this tour.
A Fourth Volume follows in May 2012.
