The 'Higher' hitmaker is keen to develop as an artist and embrace new genres, although for his forthcoming third album, 'Black and Leather', he's not changed his already established electro-pop sound.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I have ideas for a new sound but I won't go there yet. Electro-pop is what the kids want to hear. However, I have plans to mess with dubstep and rock further down the line."
The producer and singer has also been working with David Guetta on his new single 'Little Bad Girl', and admitted he found it hard to keep pace with the famously enthusiastic French DJ's work ethic.
He said: "David is definitely all about the music. We did a show at a Pacha nightclub which finished at 6am.
"I thought we were going to bed but David said he wanted to go to the studio. I wanted to go to sleep!"
'Black and Leather' will be released later this year.
