Tame Impala say they 'really really' hope to have a new album out in 2011.
Undercover's Haylee Cashmere spoke to Dom Simper and Kevin Parker from J Award-winners Tame Impala at the Falls Festival in Marion Bay, Tasmania.
Guitarist Kevin says they are writing 'all the time'.
'We're starting to put together the new album, slowly,' he says. ' have a studio at home so we can record all the time. We never have to book studio time or anything.'
'deas come at any time and thankfully with technology nowadays we can record while on the road or in a hotel room or on a plane.'
They were unsure about a release date for new material, Kevin saying ' really really hope so' to the possibility of a new album out in 2011.
'There's all that stuff about taking a really long time for albums to come out, but goddamit it, I hope it comes out this year,' he laughs.
