Tears For Fears release new single

On Monday 13th June 2005, Tears For Fears one of the most revered bands of the post MTV era will release their new double-A side single ‘Everybody Loves A Happy Ending'/ ‘Call Me Mellow'. This will be second single taken from their critically acclaimed new album.

Currently touring the UK to rave reviews and enjoying a renaissance for their musical mastery, intricate song writing and compelling live performances, Tears For Fears co-founders Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith are reunited in live performance and on vinyl with their first recorded album together since the brilliant 1989 ‘Seeds Of Love'.

From the opening blast of 'Everybody Loves A Happy Ending' with it's elaborate production, ringing alarm clock and call to ‘Wake Up', listeners are in no doubt that Tears For Fears are back! It's clear to see why track is the title track on the album. It's a rock-epic that moves between shades of Pink Floyd, hints of acoustic country-folk, centered by a spirited staccato rock feel and inventive melodic turns.

‘Call Me Mellow' has the distinctive Tears For Fears hallmark psychedelia. Intelligently crafted lyrics meander to an up beat tempo driven by acoustic rhythm guitars and Orzabal's unmistakable vocals to take on a groove of its own, rousing into the unforgettable and infectious chorus of ‘Call Me Mellow'. Arguably this is one of the most infectious records Tears For Fears have produced to date, an airy summer anthem!
