Fresh from his performance at this year's South By Southwest festival and currently playing live across the US, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Teddy Thompson releases his new single ‘I Should Get Up' on Verve Forecast, May 8th.
Written and co-produced by Teddy Thompson with Brad Albetta â€" who produced Martha Wainwright's self-titled LP - ‘I Should Get Up' is the second song to be taken from ‘Separate Ways' and follows the Radio 2 B-listed single ‘Everybody Move it'.
Brimming with sharp insight, lush backing vocals and a soft electric glow, the new single features Teddy's father, folk musician Richard Thompson, on guitar and is joined by Saturday Night Live drummer Shawn Pelton and Brad Albetta on bass and keyboards. It also features the previously unreleased acoustic B-side ‘Bon Jovi Said' â€" a highlight of Teddy's live set.
