Test Icicles played their final ever show Saturday night (April 22) to a baying crowd of fans, many of whom had been queuing for hours beforehand.
The band kicked off with 'Circle Square Triangle' and played a brief but exhilarating 45 minute set that took in all aspects of their short but successful career.
"I saw Smashing Pumpkins here when I was 14," commented Rory Atwell from the stage "It was the first time I ever crowd surfed; people touched my arse - it was beautiful."
Along with Dev Hynes and Sam Mehran, Atwell charged about the stage in a gig that was as messy as it was spectacular. Atwell's brothers band were called on for a song mid-set and a mini-stage invasion saw many of the band's friends seizing the mic before smashing the groups equipment.
Halfway through the set ten huge black balloons dropped from the ceiling, to be batted about by the crowd though 'Boa vs Python'. 'Test Icicles RIP' badges were also being handed out, but the atmosphere was far more cheerful than it was solemn.
