Channelbee, the online TV channel which has clocked up over 6 million page views since it went live in July 2008, continues its mission to deliver the best new bands and the biggest known acts straight to your desktop as the nights close in.
Every Thursday Channelbee will send a live show direct to your computer from somewhere in the UK with the launch of the Thursday Night Gig. Having already welcomed all the names that are being talked about to tell us their story on U R A & R the next step had to be giving you the chance to watch them in the comfort of your own home completely free of charge. You don't even have to register with the site. October kicked it off with the return of The Automatic (still available in the archive). Next comes a double header this week with DIY superstars Enter Shikari and UK Hip Hop SUpremo Roots Manuva with multi platinum Welsh metallers Funeral For A Friend, and the chaos that is Does If Offend You, Yeah? Live to follow. All for nothing. Watch it as it happens or, if you aren't around, watch it from the archive when it suits you. And, in an added bonus there's a Tuesday night gig for one week only when The Charlatans will be the first of two shows from the Ironworks in Inverness. All across the UK we're bringing you the best bands for absolutely nothing direct to your living room.
To see just how good Channelbee are at bringing a live show to your desktop, go to the site at www.channelbee.com and click on music where you will find we already have a host of performances from the year ready to watch including Kate Nash, We Are Scientists and UNKLE from Somerset House and our latest show, the hotly tipped Iglu and Hartley from Newcastle Academy.
