The Dø announce UK dates

The Dø is Paris based duo, Dan and Olivia. He is French and she is half Finnish. Their debut album A Mouthful was released in France in 2008 and skyrocketed straight to the top of the charts (the first time a French record sang in English ever reached number one in France).

After playing a stunning gig at London's Roundhouse, and releasing limited edition debut UK single, On My Shoulders in February, The Dø are set to heighten the excitement surrounding them with it's follow up, the mesmerising At Last. This is the second single to be taken from A Mouthful and will be released on April 27th through Get Down!.

At Last recalls the likes of PJ Harvey, Nina Persson and Fleetwood Mac in the way it induces goose bumps and raised hairs with emotive brilliance whilst also providing instant melodic gratification. Olivia's sumptuous vocals provide the backdrop around stripped back drums and bass and a mournful, two-note melodica refrain.

The single is another example of the duo's ability to effortlessly guide themselves through an array of genres as showcased on their album, A Mouthful. Dan and Olivia composed, arranged, played and recorded the whole record in their own studio in the suburbs of Paris and it will be released in the UK on May 4th.

Having embarked on a marathon French tour over the course of 2008, playing 100+ dates from the club scene up to the biggest French festivals, The Dø have become one of the biggest and most talked about new bands in France and Europe. Their sights are now firmly set on the UK.
