Coventry's finest announce a one-off December show in support of a worthy cause.
Tom Clarke and co. will play Coventry's Kasbah club on December 23rd. It's a one-off show for the three-piece who are busily putting the finishing touches to their as-yet-untitled second album. The show is in aid of Alexandra Emery who has Alexander Disease, a form of Leukodystrophy,
Alexandra's father, a friend of both Tom and bassist Liam Watts, released the following statement.
"Alexandra Emery has Alexander Disease. This is a rare metabolic disorder which affects the white matter of the brain. It is the rarest of the known Leukodystrophies and currently there is no cure. Alexandra has the juvenile form of the disease. The disease is progressive and degenerative and survival is usually 10 years after onset of symptoms.
"We lost our other daughter Andreya to an unknown disease four years ago. Tom, Liam and Liam's Father Martin were there then and helped in many ways as good friends do, so you can imagine when they heard the news about our eldest daughter they were very keen to do something to help us."
The money raised will be split between Birmingham Children's Hospital and Alexandra's own charity.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Saturday the 1st of November at 12 noon. Tickets will be strictly limited to 2 per person and must be bought in person from the Kasbah Box office, priced at £15
