The Enemy have been added to the line up of the first of this year's Orange RockCorps gigs at the Apollo in Manchester on 13th July 2009.
The indie rock three-piece will join Lady GaGa and N-Dubz alongside other star acts and DJ's to give 3,000 volunteers in Manchester a night to remember.
In its second year, Orange RockCorps, has expanded its music-led volunteer programme, to give people in Manchester and London the chance to earn a money-can't-buy ticket to an A-list gig in their home city in return for four hours voluntary work at community-based charity projects.
The Orange RockCorps programme will continue with a series of four-hour projects in London followed by a gig for volunteers at The Royal Albert Hall on 25th September.
Stephen Greene, RockCorps co-founder and CEO comments: "The Enemy are an outstanding live act, we know they will bring a real sense of celebration to the gig and to the volunteers who have all given four hours to their community to be there. It's going to be a great show."
Spencer McHugh, Brand Director at Orange UK commented: "We are delighted the Enemy are playing the Orange RockCorps gig in Manchester. They are a phenomenal band who have always been big supporters of volunteering and community work- it's great to be able to add them to the line up."
