The on going feud between The Enemy and XFM dj Alex Zane rumbles on with the Coventry threesome sending Zane a gold disc. The band thought it amusing to send him their gold disc for album sales in sarcastic gratitude for helping them shift extra units. Zane refused to play the Enemy songs banning them from any of his play lists, and the week he did so, they sold an extra 10,000 albums.
The feud began when the band appeared on Popworld, co-hosted by Zane, and Alexa Chung, and they took exception to the questions and refused to continue the interview. The dj interviewed three little dolls instead, which was broadcast earlier in the year. When the warring factions later met at the Mercury awards, further insults were traded, resulting in Zane banning them from his radio show.
