Absolute Radio and Hard Rock Cafe have today announced that American rock band The Fray will be the latest act to grace the stage at London's iconic Hard Rock Cafe. The Colorado based band will be performing a live and intimate session ahead of their third album release; Scars & Stories.
Defying the notion that wholesome rock 'n' roll is dying out, The Fray's new album is a return to the sounds evoked in their previous successor albums 'How to Save a Life' and 'The Fray'. Having already released the first single, 'Heartbeat', Scars & Stories is set to generate a wealth of acclaim.
Influenced by the likes of Counting Crows and U2, The Fray have met much success after their formation in 2002. Their debut album 'How to Save a Life' went Platinum with its release in 2005, and their self-titled album 'The Fray' earned them a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Band at the Grammys in 2010.
Absolute Radio Presenter Polly James will be announcing the show live on air and said: "The Fray are a really top band. I remember the first time I heard 'How to Save A Life' and I've been a fan ever since. We're in for a real treat at the Hard Rock Cafe - The guys are truly talented, they all play multiple instruments and I can't wait to hear their new material."
The Hard Rock Cafe London, who celebrated their 40th anniversary last year, will host the exclusive gig. Tickets can only be won by tuning into Absolute Radio, or visiting www.absoluteradio.co.uk.
A further 20 complimentary tickets will be available for members of the public. These can be won by visiting www.facebook.com/thebackroomlondon and 'liking' the post relating to The Fray gig and leaving a comment on the post. Winners will be contacted via the Back Room Facebook page.
