Overview
The Futureheads are to perform at Sunderland's Stadium Of Light on Sunday (May 8) ahead of the home team's final game of the season against Stoke City.
The band will then hot-foot it from the stadium to Herrington Country Park for Radio 1's Big Weekend event where they are headlining the second stage.
The group will play in the centre circle of the Stadium Of Light pitch at around 12.00pm.
The Futureheads said of the invitation by Sunderland AFC to play: “It's great for us to be playing on such a prestigious day for the club, we're really excited. Congratulations on your promotion.â€
The team was recently promoted to the Premiership.
