The Futureheads will start recording their second album after next month's festivals.
The band, who appear at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals in August, will regroup straight away with a view to releasing their second album next year.
Bassist Jaff told NME.COM: “We're looking forward to getting all the festivals done, getting in the studio. We feel like we're ready to move on. We've got lots of stuff written.â€
Singer Barry Hyde added: “The thing with this band is the most time consuming thing about writing a song is arranging it. What we need is, as we will get in September, a block of time. Practice in a room everyday for four or five hours. That's the plan.â€
Barry< said that there's a “feeling of excitement, and also terror†about the sessions, which they hope will last for four weeks. A new song, ‘Areas', played on tour recently, is set for inclusion on the record.document.write(unescape("
