The Ghost Frequency formed in early 2006 from the heart of one person's interest in four other musicians from very different backgrounds. Murphy (Guitar), Ross (Synth, Guitar), Barney (Synth, Programming), and Ben (Drums) were unaware of each other before they were brought together in Doran (Vocals, Synth, Guitar, Programming) besmirched suburban bedroom.
They began playing shows in March 2006 when they realised how much they stood out from the other bands they were asked to play with.
Proud to be unique The Ghost Frequency kept pushing their style and were quickly picked up by City Rockers later that year, who then went on to release first single 'Nightmare' in August '07.
The band are inspired by hardcore from the likes of Glassjaw, The Bronx and Nation Of Ulysses as well as the insane sub bass of Spank Rock, and booty bounce of DJ Assault along with the dancehall beats of MIA. They love 80's b-movies from Troma to Tron to gory classics like Return Of The Living Dead. This is all wrapped up with a love of Kate Bush, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Devo.
These diverse influences make up The Ghost Frequency, who are currently wowing audiences, as special guests on Hadouken's national tour.
