THE HORRORS have revealed that their new album was given a boost by a popular sandwich chain.
The rock band said Primary Colours was inspired something they found out about Pret A Manger.
And singer Faris Badwan said it had been a "significant discovery" that bandmate Tomethy Furse made during recording sessions for the LP.
Speaking to NME, he said: "Tom recently moved near a Pret A Manger and discovered they throw out all the uneaten sandwiches at the end of the day.
"Upon making this discovery he decided to give up spending money on food and instead buy synths."
Group member Spider Webb added that the room they recorded the new album in had effected its overall sound.
He said: "The room had no windows - it was complete darkness [when we were writing] so it could have been any hour of the day," he added. "The most we did was a four-day stint."
Primary Colours is released on May 4.
