Beck's Vier are excited to announce that The Horrors will play a special FREE live show at Village Underground, Shoreditch, on Friday June 18th as part of the 2010 Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art tour which is making its way across the UK this Summer. Entry is free but to be in with a chance of tickets, people must sign up to Becks' Vier Music Inspires Art via the Beck's Vier Facebook: www.facebook.com/becksvier by Thursday 10 June. The Horrors will be joined by special guests including a DJ set by Andrew Weatherall.
Showcasing the very best in new music talent and visual wizardry, Beck's Vier has teamed up with 580 Ltd, leading independent promoters and purveyors of the finest music venues around the country including the Lock Tavern, Amersham Arms, Bungalows and Bears, Start the Bus, The Shipping Forecast and more, to present the Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art UK Tour. A FREE UK-wide summer tour, Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art brings together the best new live music and DJ talent, with an original programme of innovative film and art curated by Future Shorts and Squeaky Hill and Cabinet of Living Cinema art collectives.
The Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art UK Tour is just the latest in Beck's long-standing series of collaborations with musicians and artists. Alongside the Beck's Vier Music Inspires Art UK Tour, we will be unveiling new, limited edition Beck's Vier fonts and glassware, all showcasing designs by celebrated emerging artists who have been inspired by some of their favourite music.
Setting up shop for four days at a time in some of the most acclaimed and lively spaces in these cities, which all form part of the 580 Ltd network (the people behind Adventures in the Beetroot Field, Field Day and Nail the Cross), each city residency offers a top notch programme of bands, DJs, artists and filmmakers which reflects the progressive and constantly buzzing music which 580 Ltd's venues are renowned for curating. The diverse and uncompromising line up includes up and coming names such as Class Actress (the most blogged about band at SXSW), Young Turks new signing Sampha and Moshi Moshi's latest offering, Hot City. Plus special guest appearances by Plaid, Ariel Pink and a host of the best local talent from each city.
