The Joy Formidable release free download

The Joy Formidable this week kick of their biggest ever tour, supporting Editors, Passion Pit and The Temper Trap throughout the rest of the year. After the shows they head back to the studio to finish off their debut album, which is scheduled for a spring 2010 release.

The latest single: Greyhounds in the Slips, is now available to download for free from http://www.myspace.com/thejoyformidable

Featuring vocals from Paul Draper this is the band's first new song since the release of their 8 track CD, A Balloon Called Moaning which included the singles Austere, Cradle and Whirring; and is still available to buy on CD and download.

The video that accompanies Greyhound in the Slips is an energetic collage of live footage from tours with White Lies and Howling Bells as well as their own headlining tour earlier this year. http://www.youtube.com/thejoyformidable .

On November 16th, the band will release a live recording of their sold out London headline show at the Garage last month. Titled "First you have to get mad", you can now pre-order the album from here.
