The open release a four track EP on March 13th on Loog Records. The lead track, ‘We Can Never Say Goodbye' is the first to be taken from their new album ‘Statues', released February 6th. ‘The Box', ‘I Call You' and ‘Mirror' are exclusive to this release which is available as a 12†picture disc and CD digipak and features stunning artwork by legendary designer Vaughan Oliver.

Singer and key songwriter, Steven Bayley produced ‘We Can Never Say Goodbye' and ‘I Call You' with Rob Kirwan in Avignon during the summer of 2005, Michael Brauer mixed the tracks in New York. Steven Bayley produced ‘The Box' and ‘Mirror' at home.
From Walsall and Birkenhead, the open formed at Art College in Liverpool in 2003. Their debut album The Silent Hours was released to massive acclaim in 2004 - “Breathtaking†â€" The Observer; “This is music†â€" Dazed & Confused; “Majestic†â€" The Sunday Times Culture. the open are Steven Bayley vocals/guitar, Jon Winter guitar, Jim Reynolds bass, Roger Westwood drums and Alan Dutton keyboards. The band takes to the road in February with support from Polytechnic. Further dates will be added shortly.
