The Proclaimers are due to continue an already extraordinary year by releasing a new album on 3rd September. The new album – Life With You – was recorded this year at Rockfield studio in Monmouth with producer Steve Evans, and features thirteen brand new recordings.
Life With You comes at the end of one of the most successful periods for the brothers, who broke records with the official Comic Relief single, a version of their classic "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" featuring Matt Lucas and Peter Kay. This was swiftly followed by outstanding critical acclaim for "Sunshine On Leith", Dundee Rep's jukebox musical that uses the music of The Proclaimers. Craig and Charlie are also set to embark on a massive tour of the UK, which will also include performances at the V Festival.
Life With You shows off the Leith-born twins at their very best. It includes a new rousing sing-along single of the same name which is set to join the likes of "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" "Letter From America" and "I'm On My Way" as a classic Proclaimers' anthem. Also included is a cover of the Wreckless Eric song "Whole Wide World", which became a firm favourite of audiences during their live shows (including last year's T In The Park).
