The Rakes pull gigs

The Rakes have been forced to pull out of two shows this week.

The rising London outfit were due to play Bristol Anson Rooms today (April 6) and Birmingham Academy tomorrow night as support to British Sea Power.

However, the band have been forced to pull the shows after a member of singer Alan Donohue's family was taken ill earlier this week. More dates may be affected.

A spokesperson for the band said: “It is very unfortunate and the band are very sorry if they have let anyone down by cancelling these two shows. They hope to be up and running for the rest of the tour very soon. Anyone planning to catch The Rakes on this tour should check with the venue first.”
