The Stone Roses could be set to reform later today (October 18) after a press conference has been called in London for a "very important announcement’’.
Rumours that the band will reform in their original line-up for a number of homecoming shows next year have been circulating over the last few days.
According to The Sun, the band, fronted by Ian Brown, will announce their reformation today (October 18) 15 years after they split in 1996.
Reports emerged yesterday that magician Dynamo, a close friend of Brown, had shown the newspaper a text message from the singer, which said: ''We are going to rule the world again. It's happening."
Dynamo was quoted by the paper as saying: "He said it's true. It is definitely happening. Ian's on great form. I'll be at the gigs. It's going to be massive."
Gigwise will be at the London press conference at 3pm today and will be brining you up to date news on the rumoured Stone Roses reunion.
