Lead singer Ian Brown (pictured), bassist Mani, guitarist John Squire, and drummer Alan “Reni” Wren announced the news today at a press conference at London's Soho Hotel.
The Fools Gold stars are set to play two shows at Manchester's Heaton Park on 29 June and 30 June, before heading on an “extensive” world tour.
The band also announced that they will play a number of new songs at the gigs and that they hope to release a new record soon.
Brown said his friendship with Squire had been repaired.
The group, which was formed in 1983, recorded just two albums before their acrimonious split in 1996.
