We are delighted to announce that Dundonian rockers The View are set to headline the Friday night of Loopallu 2009!
The View make a welcome return to the festival 3 years after their last appearance when still relative unknowns. Three years on, and they have two top 5 albums under their belts including 2007's number 1 smash 'Hats Off to the Buskers'.
Also joining the line up is singer from legendary two-tone ska band The Specials, forming member of Fun Boy Three and now with his own band, the one and only Neville Staple and his band.
Other acts already confirmed for Loopallu 2009 include, Ian Broudie's The Lightning Seeds, one of Scotland's hottest acts The Dykeenies, the beautiful and captivating folk sounds of Mumford and Sons, self confessed 'product of the Ipod generation' Kid British, along with one of the fastest rising acts in Scotland Pearl and the Puppets and firm festival favourite Mark Radcliffe with his bar room drinking band The Family Mahone.
Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom in the North West of Scotland. Loopallu is a fantabulous weekend for all, with activities for all ages and music for all ears.
Fantastic local food and drink aplenty along with a host of fringe events throughout the village, promises to make Loopallu 2009 the must not miss event of the year.
