The Who premiered tracks from their first album in 24 years as they kicked off the first night of North American leg of their world tour in Philadelphia last night (September 12).
The rock veterans played a series of songs from forthcoming album 'Endless Wire' alongside classic hits 'Won't Get Fooled Again', 'My Generation' and 'I Can't Explain', reports the BBC.
The band struggled on a number of tracks from the LP, forcing guitarist Pete Townshend to apologise on several occasions.
He later told the crowd: "Thank you for putting up with it - I know it's tough to hear new music."
The tour will also visit South America, East Asia, Europe and Australia as well as North America.
'Endless Wire', the belated follow-up to 1982's 'It's Hard', is out on October 30.
