The Who are going to step up to the plate and be the next Rolling Stones, Prince or Bruce Springsteen and provide the halftime entertainment at The Superbowl.
According to a report in Sports Illustrated, the band are tipped to be the halftime show - a "source" tells them.
The Superbowl is considered a prestigious show to be invited to, and will guarantee a TV audience of millions all over the world. Advertisers have been known to pay over $US2million for a thirty second commercial.
The NFL are yet to confirm the spot, bluntly saying "When we have something to announce, we'll announce it."
Let's just hope Pete Townsend doesn't have a "wardrobe malfunction" while millions of people are inadvertently looking in his general direction.
