Those Dancing Days release a new single the self-titled Those Dancing Days, through Wichita Recordings on 23rd February 2009. Initially released as their debut single it was given a very limited release and is being reissued due to popular demand. The single will be available digitally from all major retailers.
The B-side is a remix of the single by Dektektivbyrån (the detective agency) - who are from a part of Sweden called Värmland. They take their inspiration from Swedish folk music indicative of the area and are a huge success in their native Sweden.
Formed in Nacka a suburb of Stockholm in 2005, Those Dancing Days mixture of girl group charm, Northern Soul and Hammond driven pop surfaced in the winter of 2007 and lead them to be one of the most talked about new bands of 2008. Last year the band toured the world playing all the major festivals and were even nominated for a Swedish Grammy.
They released their debut album In Our Space Hero Suits in October 2008 to rave reviews. Time Out described it as 'Infectiously gleeful' and The Independent said it was 'Catchier then a cold.' Artrocker magazine made it their album of the year and it was tipped in many of the end year polls including The Independent and Zoo!
