The 'Pass Out' hitmaker relies on his mobile communication device to make notes and record the lyrics which he is inspired to write while he's on tour.
He said: ' never really set a time aside for writing, I just write whenever wherever, I carry my Blackberry and if I think of something then I make a bit of a voice note and maybe by the end of the week, I'll have about 40 different voice notes, and I'll complete the lyrics or merge a few together, unless I'm working on a project I never just sit down and say I'm going to write now.'
The 'Written In The Stars' rapper also credits a great deal of his success to the way the internet and modern technology has changed the way people buy music.
He told BANG Showbiz: ''m a fan of the change to how we buy music now. I'm one of those people who embraces it, rather than a person that s***s it off every so often.
'f it wasn't for the evolution of digital music and the new ways of getting through to people that artists like myself and a lot of artists in the top 40 or top 100 wouldn't be here without it. Things have changed, but for the better.
' think the internet is a fantastic tool and I'm a very avid twitter fan, I love doing video blogs and if it wasn't for modern technology I wouldn't even be here.'
