The rapper admitted he used to listen to the 'What's My Age Again' punk band and was excited to collaborate with their drummer, Travis Barker, on a special remix of his track 'Simply Unstoppable' for drinks brand Lucozade.
Tinie told BANG Showbiz: 'To be honest, I grew up and I listened to Blink 182 when they came out when I was like, 10 or 11 ' but don't tell anyone!
'But to work with Travis on the track was amazing. He's one of the greatest drummers of a generation.'
Tinie flew to Los Angeles to shoot an advert for the drink where he met and starred alongside Travis and World Champion boxer Katie Taylor.
He added: 'When we arrived at the shoot in Los Angeles Katie, Travis and I didn't know what would happen, but when we came together, the energy flowed and I think we've captured something very special on screen and on record.'
Despite being most famous as a heavily tattooed rocker, Travis is also a huge hip hop fan and has appeared on tracks by rappers P. Diddy, Bun B, Bubba Sparxx and Pharrell Williams and says he gets upset when rock fans get mad at him for indulging his love of hip hop.
He said: "I got people who were mad when I played the Grammys with Wayne, Drake, and Eminem. That's one of the biggest highlights of my life, and they'll be like, 'stop playing this rap s**t! You know what I mean? It's like, 'F**k you, man!'
