One of the UK's most innovative and authentic artists, Tinie Tempah returns with highly anticipated second album 'Demonstration' which will be released on November 4th.
Like his multi-platinum selling debut 'Disc-Overy', Demonstration succeeds because Tinie has once again delivered an innovative, surprising and pioneering piece of work. There are no obviously constructed singles that follow the current sonic zeitgeist; rather, 'Demonstration' is inhabited by a sense of musical adventure and an eclectic array of collaborators.
The album has already been preceded by the #3 hit 'Trampoline' – produced by Diplo and featuring 2 Chainz – which as with the genre-defying smash 'Pass Out' serves as a reminder of Tinie's willingness to take a risk. The next single 'Children of the Sun' (out October 28th) is a festival-filling, hands-in-the-air anthem that sees Tinie in reflective mode. It sees him reunite with 'Written In The Stars' producer Ishi and features the voice of John Martin, last heard on Swedish House Mafia's 'Don't You Worry Child'.
'Demonstration' is the definitive British hip-hop album, albeit one that casts a discerning eye across the Atlantic. Recorded in the same Greenwich studio that he used to cut early underground tracks such as 'Wifey' and 'Tears', Tinie has assembled a stellar list of British talent to bring his creative vision to life. Tinie's long-awaited collaboration with Dizzee Rascal is delivered on 'Moshpit'; Paloma Faith sings on 'Lost Ones', while Emeli Sandé teams up with Naughty Boy on 'A Heart Can Save The World'.
Naughty Boy is on production duty once more on 'Hero' (featuring Laura Mvula) that reveals a slightly darker side of Tinie as he rails against scholarships and cynical MPs. Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers creates another highpoint with the Johnny Cash-flavoured 'Looking Down The Barrel', a song that may raise a few eyebrows thanks to some boisterous boastings and laugh-out-loud punchlines.
