Tinie Tempah wants to convince Prince to appear on a track with him.
The 'Written in the Stars' rapper was too starstruck when he first met the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker to ask him to collaborate, but is hoping he'll be able to pluck up the courage when he shares a bill with him on Sunday at the Hop Farm festival in the UK.
Speaking at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards this afternoon (01.07.11), Tinie told BANG Showbiz: "With Prince there's a lot of history there, that's a lot of creativity, that's a lot of brilliant music.
"He has legendary status, but if I could ever get him on a track or do something with him that would be amazing.
"I actually met him in Abu Dhabi very briefly for another show, but I was just like, 'ahhhhhhhh, ahhhh,' but on Sunday ' that's when hopefully I can talk properly."
Tinie picked up the The TAG: Design & Interactive Newcomer Award at the Silver Clefs, and admitted alongside his two BRIT Awards and two Platinum discs for debut album 'Disc-Overy', he is running out of places to keep his trophies.
He said: "I've got so many awards on my kitchen table because I have nowhere to put them yet, but the minute I get some space, I'm going to do it all up nice."
