The Hollywood megastar jumped behind the wheel at a go-karting centre when he took his Mission: Impossible IV castmates out in the Middle East.
Cruise is said to have booked the Dubai Kartdrome for 75 people.
And he even used the name of his character from 1990 race car smash Days of Thunder when he took on his pals.
A source revealed: 'Cruise used the name Cole Trickle, his character from 'Days' as his moniker during the outing.'
Cruise, 48, who starred in Days of Thunder alongside ex-wife Nicole Kidman, also splashed out on burgers and fries for his castmates, including British actor Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner.
Mission: Impossible IV – also known as Ghost Protocol - is currently filming in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
It is set for release in December 2011.
