Tom Cruise squares up to Liam Gallagher

LIAM GALLAGHER has been left speechless after he was confronted by Tom Cruise in a German hotel.

The Hollywood star approached the Oasis frontman and asked him to explain himself over comments he made in the Oasis film, Lord Don't Slow Me Down.

In the film, Gallagher slagged off Cruise and said: "I hate Tom Cruise. I can't stand that small bastard – him and Michael Owen."

With a smile on his face, Cruise went up to Gallagher at the Regent Hotel in Berlin, where they were both staying, to explain himself.

An eyewitness told the Daily Star: "For the first time in his life, Liam was lost for words. Tom did a double-take as they passed each other and went back to say hello.

"And without losing the smile from his face, he reminded Liam about the cheeky comments he'd made."

Gallagher then admitted he liked him in Cocktail before making a hasty departure.

Oasis are currently in Germany on the European leg of their world tour.
