Tony Bennett to hold art Expo

Veteran crooner Tony Bennett is preparing to show-off his talent as an artist (and we mean painter, not singer).

Between August 18 and 31, Bennett will showcase his past and current works featuring oils, watercolors and sketches at an exhibition in Georgetown, in Washington DC.

Tony Bennett has been painting since the age of five. Young Anthony Benedetto first worked with chalk on sidewalks in his hometown of Astoria, Queens.

He began formal training as an art student at the School of Industrial Arts in Manhattan and has continued to study art all through his performing and recording career.

Amongst the owners of Tony Bennett art are the late Cary Grant, Carol Burnett, Whoopie Goldberg, the late Frank Sinatra, Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Mickey Rooney and Katie Couric.

Bennett's Art Exhibition will be held at the P&C Gallery in Georgetown but prior to that on August 16, he will perform at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia.
