Tony Bennett to release ‘The Ultimate American Songbook. Vol 1’

Tony Bennett (born Anthony Dominick Benedetto; August 3, 1926) is a legendary American singer of popular music, standards, show tunes, and jazz.

Raised in New York he has gone on to sell an incredible 50 million records worldwide and has won a magnificent fifteen Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards and has been named an NEA Jazz Master. Even his friend Frank Sinatra described him as 'the best singer in the business'. Not a bad referee to have!

2010 will be big year for Tony Bennett starting with the release of 'The Ultimate American Songbook. Vol 1'.This album is an amazing selection of classic tracks which highlights Tony's extraordinary velvet voice.

The UK version of the CD features some classic songs in a tracklisting unique to this country - but also features some amazing extras too. Fans will be able to put the CD into their computer and download 6 extra tracks, stream extra video content and be entered into exclusive competitions.

Tony will also be touring the UK this summer.
