One of the most interesting SXSW keynotes for 2016 were the stories of Tony Visconti and a lot of those stories revolve around his history with David Bowie.
When I first met him "my first thought was which eye do I look at because David had two different eyes". But they loved the same music and a career that lasted from 1969's 'Space Oddity' to Bowie's last album 'Blackstar' began. "we were kin, we were brothers," Visconti said.
Tony Visconti gave a one-hour keynote at SXSW and also covered his recordings for T.Rex, the Moody Blues and his and Bowie's common movie interests.
