Turin Brakes to tour the 'The Optimist' November

In November Turin Brakes will be performing their Mercury music nominated, platinum selling debut album "The Optimist". Turin Brakes' Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian start the tour on Nov 7th at The Cambridge Junction, play London's Koko on 11th and finish in Sheffield on 24th.

In 2001 Turnin Brakes shimmering acoustic guitars, vocal harmonies as soft and refreshing as a gentle summer breeze ' were captured perfectly on their 2001 debut album, The Optimist, featuring songs such as Underdog (Save Me) and Emergency 72.

'We have never duplicated the sound of that first record,' says Gale. 'It's an iconic album. We've since made records that have been just as good, but that one captured some sort of zeitgeist. On the surface it was melancholy, but underneath it was hopeful. That's why we called it The Optimist.'
