Overview
TV On The Radio guitarist Dave Sitek has announced his collaborative side-project Maximum Balloon.
The producer, painter, photographer and musician has produced a mostly electro-funk album with guest vocals from famous friends.
Every song features a different vocalist, the list including the legendary David Byrne, Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone from his own band, Katrina Ford from Baltimore's Celebration, Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London, and singer-songwriter Holly Miranda.
He has musical guests too, including Antibalas' horn section and Mars Volta keyboardist Ikey Owens.
First single 'Tiger', featuring singer Aku from Dragons Of Zynth, is available now at iTunes.
The self-titled Maximum Balloon album will be released on August 24 through Interscope.
