Rapper Tyga has denied rumours suggesting he blocked Paul McCartney from attending his Grammy Awards afterparty on Monday (15Feb16) after the Beatles icon was refused entry to the club.
The Rack City hitmaker performed at Los Angeles nightclub Argyle after music's big night, and Sir Paul, Beck and the Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins were filmed attempting to enter the bash - only to be turned away at the door.
In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, the 73-year-old Brit joked he and his fellow rockers may not be famous enough to attend the party, saying, "How VIP do we gotta get (sic)?"
Sir Paul then turned around to share a laugh with his companions about their predicament, quipping, "We need another hit!"
The trio of music icons gave up on the party and headed to another event, hosted by Republic Records label bosses, instead.
After the news hit headlines on Tuesday (16Feb16), it became a hot topic on social media, with many criticising Tyga for banning the veterans from his post-awards celebrations.
However, the 26-year-old hip-hop star has since hit back at the comments, insisting he had no idea McCartney and co. were even there.
"Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney," Tyga argued online. "stop it. He's a legend."
Kylie Jenner's boyfriend then went on to insist he had no input on who the club's bouncers allowed in, because he only stayed long enough to perform.
"I don't control the door," he continued. "I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left."
