Usher was so happy to see his 16-year-old protégé take home four awards at yesterday's AMAs in Los Angeles, he cried.
According to Hollywoodlife.com, the 32-year-old said: 'The entire show was a success.
'The B man! To see Justin, having have received that award [Artist of the Year] before, it was like an out of body experience, I don't cry often, but I did!'
Justin, who became the youngest artist to ever win the AMA Artist of the Year award, got the most awards on the night including the favourite album, T-Mobile breakthrough artist of the year and favourite male pop/rock artist.
Usher added: 'The first song that he ever did was Bigger and that was kind of like the mantra, to do everything bigger.
'He had the talent, he could sing... I [knew I would] love to be a part of what he is to become and it is what it is.'
Usher signed Bieber to his Raymond Braun Media Group in 2008 and helped him get a deal with Island Def Jam Music Group just after.
